Douglas Partners is an Australian Engineering company specialising in the fields of Geotechnic, Environmental and Groundwater engineering. With over 50 years of experience, their origins date back to the early 1960s, they have a large national footprint with over 400 staff in 17 branches across Australia including 13 NATA registered laboratories.
Douglas Partners required a much improved web presence as their previous website was dated and not suited to the demands of modern users. It did not adequately showcase the breadth of their services and important information was buried several pages deep.
The content management system was antiquated and content updates were difficult and time-consuming leading to a website that was underutilised, out-of-date and underperforming.
We undertook an in-depth Discovery Phase with all stakeholders that clearly addressed and documented the website needs and requirements. We then implemented a flexible, robust and feature-rich Content Management System as well as a totally new design of the site bringing it more in-line with the brand and modern web design principles as well as focusing on making it more appealing and intuitive to navigate for users.
We created a highly visual and engaging projects section to showcase their experience. Douglas Partners are a people-focussed organisation whose staff take ownership of each and every project, so we ensured that their people also became a feature. We also added an advanced search capability to enable users can quickly source specific content that is relevant to them. We focussed on user experience clearly highlighting related content as well as clear calls-to-action that encourage users to delve deeper into the site.
Axiom delivered the website on-time and on-budget and so far the feedback has been very positive as have the results.
We are now working with Douglas Partners on their digital marketing and SEO initiatives to drive traffic to the website so as to maximise ROI on the project.
