Benjamin Hames
Design Director, Founding Partner
An experienced designer and expert communicator with more than a decade of experience in advertising and design – working as an Art Director and Graphic Designer in both large agency and studio environments and having previously run the successful design practice Charrette Design from 1997 to 2005.
Particularly experienced in large projects for both government and private sector clients having been responsible for the planning, creation, implementation and management of brands for many large multinational companies. In addition, Ben is also experienced in the planning, development and execution of large-scale environmental signage projects for public spaces.
Ben leverages his strong understanding of strategy-based design to instantly decipher and distill complex information into a cohesive manageable context. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills and aesthetic sensibility, he brings his unique blend of commercial pragmatism, enthusiasm and innovation to all of our projects.
Sean Elsegood
Design Director, Founding Partner
A respected member of the design community, widely recognised for his design and production expertise, Sean has over two decades experience in brand focused design and marketing. He has worked in both Senior Designer and Creative Director capacities for a number of prominent advertising agencies and design studios, including managing his own successful firm Sean Elsegood Design from 1991 to 2005.
With particular experience in large-scale government and institutional projects, Sean is armed with an impressive understanding of the complexities involved in managing successful outcomes for large projects.
Sean’s exceptional depth of experience, knowledge and attention to detail across the full compliment of design disciplines is invaluable to each and every project.
Carl Manson
Senior Designer
Carl graduated from Curtin University in the top of his class with three Dean’s commendations and inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society. He directly supports design directors in a design, production management and client management capability.
Carl has an exceptional ability and experience with high-end digital imaging and is a self-confessed technophile and resident studio expert on all technological advancements in design. His Photoshop mastery, illustration and passion for problem solving result in unique and intelligent design outcomes.
Carl has particular experience implementing and managing brand consistency across a large inventory of printed, signage and interactive design. His personable nature, organisational and design skills combined with wide-ranging, multidisciplinary project experience is an invaluable asset to the studio.
Nick Sertis
Digital Director
A Curtin University graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science and a Mathematics degree, Nick then worked in the UK from 2001 to 2010, delivering technical solutions and consultancy for a number of major financial and insurance institutions.
A dedicated programmer and experienced technology consultant, Nick brings considerable technical insight and know-how to our digital projects and adeptly bridges the gap between technical and non-technical team members.
Angus Daley
Graduate Graphic Designer
Angus graduated from Central Institute of Technology in 2011 with an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design.
With a passion for corporate branding an eye for detail and the unbridled enthusiasm of a graduate, Angus brings a fresh perspective to every project he works on and is sure to become a valued member of team Axiom.
